In order to meet the demand of video monitoring, designed and realized an embedded wireless network video surveillance system based on Mjpg-streamer. This system chooses S3C6410 as the core processor, uses CMOS camera OV9650 as a video capture device, transmits video data compressed by H.264 through wireless. The paper mainly elaborates implementation process of video capture and H.264 hardware encoding under the framework of an open source video server software Mjpg-streamer. Finally, this system chooses Android mobile phone as a terminal to receive and view the video for testing. The test shows that this system is stability and reliability, transmits video clearly and smoothly, has good scalability and usability.
