For the research on the methods of using MIL-STD-1553B protocol in a project, the structure and the characteristics of 1553B bus are analyzed, then a scheme which adopts DSP as the processor, using BU-64843 as the protocol chip for remote terminal is brought forward. Compared to the traditional BU-61580 as the protocol chip RT, which simplifies the hardware design, improves data processing ability. The test results show that the designed RT can receive and transmit reliably bus messages, thus it has certain engineering application prospect in the development of embedded equipment.
